Q. Where is Colpac?
A. Colpac is based in Flitwick, a small town in the south of England with a population of about 13,000. Close to the M1 motorway, and Luton airport, it is 60kms north from London and has a train station on the line into London, making it ideally situated to service the whole of the UK, Europe and beyond.
Q. Are your products biodegradable?
A. All cardboard is biodegradable and therefore compostable, and usually breaks down in compost in around 14 weeks. Window film can be biodegradable when made from Polylactic acid (PLA) this is an, environmentally friendly thermoplastic polymer made from the renewable resource of corn starch. This film is heat sensitive so not suitable for microwaves.
Q. How can I get your products?
A. We have a base of distributors,National & International, who stock our products.
Q. Is there a minimum purchase order?
A. Yes. This depends on your location, mainland U.K, mainland Europe, or other parts of the world.
Q. Can I have my own print on your products?
A. Yes, subject to a minimum volume which varies from product to product.
Q. I use your existing products, but require something new. Can you help?
A. Yes, if you wish we can help you with the constructional design.
Q.Can you help me with a design for my existing shaped product ?
A. Yes. We have a very experienced team of designers who can create designs to your brief or from scratch.
Q.Do you charge for these services?
A. Yes, but the charges are very reasonable.
Q. I may need specialist materials for my products. Can you supply these?
A. Yes, we have access to a large number of specialist material manufacturers who should be able to provide solutions to your requirements.
Q. In what format can you receive artwork?
A. In the studio we mainly work in Illustrator CS4. We also accept Photoshop CS4 files.
Our plate making department will also accept Quark XPress 7 files or Acrobat 8 PDF files, although they use Pandora to output all work so Illustrator CS4 files are preferred.
In the Studio we have an A3 4 colour printer and in the plate making department there is an Epson 10600 which is capable of printing 44” width files.
We can accept artwork on CD or DVD. We also have an FTP site available. Please contact us if you require this service.
Q. Can we put our artwork on your template?
A. Yes you can. The relevant template can be sent to you. This will have guidelines on it regarding bleed and colours etc..
Q. Are the Sealing Machines available for demonstrations or only from stock?
A. Yes, we can arrange for machines to be sent to you for trial purposes. There is a rental and transport charge for this. Orders for new machines are subject to a manufacturing lead time, please call for information.
